Royal Reesink and Meerman join forces

Today, July 29, 2019, the Meerman Group from Vlaardingen has become part of Royal Reesink. Meerman is best known as an exclusive distributor of Kubota earthmoving machines and specializes in their sales, rental and maintenance and service. In addition, Meerman is active in the field of guardrail constructions and collision protection.

Meerman is a close-knit family business with 28 employees that knows and understands its customers. That fits perfectly with the working method and culture of Royal Reesink. Gerrit van der Scheer, CEO of Royal Reesink: "We too are convinced that customers need the best quality, service and convenience. Unburdening our clients is paramount. And we share that with the team at Meerman". The current successful management team consisting of Ilse Meerman, Koen Meerman and Victor van den Berg will continue the business operations.

For Meerman, this step offers new opportunities. The Meerman Group consists of three companies:

• Meerman Machines bv; importer of Kubota earthmoving machines, among others.
• Meerrent bv; rental of Kubota earthmoving machines.
• Meerman Technisch Buro bv; supplies and installs guardrail structures, collision protection, fencing and street furniture.

Ambitious global player

Royal Reesink is internationally one of the largest -and still growing strongly- distributors of machinery and components. Intended for landscape maintenance, agriculture, earthworks, civil engineering and warehouse equipment. The more than 2,100 employees are spread over more than 30 companies worldwide. They have one thing in common: passion for machinery, down-to-earthness and entrepreneurial drive. In addition to Reesink Construction Equipment, a separate division is established: Reesink Compact Construction Equipment. Meerman will be part of this. Both divisions will continue to operate completely independently of each other. Mr. Ben Kemp, Board member Construction Business Royal Reesink, will work with the management of Meerman to develop the combined activities.

The close ties between the Belgian company (De Bruycker-Kemp) and the Dutch companies (Hans van Driel and the Kemp Group) ensure a strong, competitive and future-proof organization in the Benelux.
