Exotec and E80 Group join forces for end-to-end warehouse automation

New integrated solution accelerates multichannel fulfillment And reduces complexity in FMCG and food sector

Exotec, the global specialist in warehouse robotics, and E80 Group, a global provider of automated and integrated end-to-end solutions, today announced a strategic partnership. Together, they are introducing an integrated solution that combines Exotec's signature Skypod AS/RS combines with E80 Groups suite of pallet handling systems. This allows customers to bundle box, case and pallet handling into one scalable automation system: an end-to-end warehouse automation solution that eliminates redundant equipment and simplifies processes.

The collaboration responds to increasing pressure on supply chains to house e-commerce, retail and wholesale operations in fewer facilities to improve process safety, efficiency and service requirements. Until now, operators have relied on separate systems for crates, cartons and pallets, with complex integration, duplicate infrastructure and labor-intensive transfers. By combining their technologies, Exotec and E80 Group eliminate this split and ensure smooth processing of goods from receipt to dispatch.

The FMCG and food sectors in particular face these challenges, where warehouses must handle large volumes of full pallets, mixed crates and individual items quickly. Exotec and E80 Group are therefore focusing their joint efforts primarily on these sectors, with solutions that address their unique operational needs. By handling pallets, boxes and items in a single system, both companies aim to help decision-makers in the FMCG and food sectors save costs, increase flexibility and accelerate throughput at every step of the chain.

Exotec provides modular warehouse solutions built around a series of building blocks, with the Skypod System as the central engine for picking individual items and boxes. The proprietary Warehouse Execution Software, Deepsky, acts as a conductor and coordinates product flows between automated equipment inside and outside the system. For its part, E80 Group brings expertise in end-to-end intralogistics for manufacturing plants and distribution centers: from unloading raw materials and finished goods from trucks to order picking, storage and automatic loading. This is driven by AGVs/LGVs and coordinated through the proprietary SM.I.LE80 software platform.

"Exotec and E80 Group not only offer complementary technologies, we also share the same philosophy of simplifying processes through smart, product-oriented design," said Romain Moulin, co-founder and CEO of Exotec. "That's why we have invested heavily in this collaboration, to design a joint solution that sets the new standard for end-to-end automation in the FMCG and food sector and beyond."

"This cooperation is an important step forward for the intralogistics sector," said Gabriele Grassi, vice president of E80 Group. "Together, we are not only integrating two systems, but also re-examining how goods can move seamlessly from production to store shelf or e-commerce. By coupling Exotec's flexible AS/RS system with our end-to-end solutions, we are creating a new automation model that perfectly fits the future of retail and consumer demand."

Visitors to the Drinktec trade fair, taking place from Sept. 15 to 19 in Munich, can discover E80 Group's intralogistics innovations at booth 442 in hall A6, as well as meet the Exotec team there to learn more about their joint solutions.
