A third scenario is what is known as ‘vehicle creep’: a truck that gradually creeps forward every time a forklift drives in or out, resulting in a dangerous gap between the dock and the trailer. 

Finally, entrapment and collisions remain a recurring risk when a vehicle backs up against the dock or rolls away while someone is still standing between the truck and the dock.
