Expansion of the digital customer portal for managing and monitoring internal transportation

With the myLinde digital customer platform, logistics managers can manage their internal transport processes from a single, centralized environment. The platform combines solutions for fleet management, safety, and energy and is continuously being developed. A new feature is an AI function that allows users to ask questions in plain language about their truck fleet, capacity utilization, or recorded collisions. Based on the data available in myLinde, the AI generates immediate answers and, if desired, converts the results into clear tables and graphs.

Digital fleet management is a powerful tool for increasing the efficiency of internal transportation processes. It reduces the administrative burden, increases transparency, and quickly highlights opportunities for optimization. This leads to cost savings and higher truck availability. In addition, it supports logistics managers in their daily work, especially during peak periods. It is precisely during these times that good planning, sufficient capacity, and appropriate safety measures are essential to ensure that the flow of goods runs smoothly and safely.

“Fleet managers are dealing with ever-increasing amounts of data and information,” says Tobias Klein, portfolio manager at Linde MH. „Applications such as myLinde “help them maintain an overview and make fact-based decisions.„ Through the web portal, users have access to various features: fleet management, charging management, and operational safety management. User manuals and parts catalogs are also available online. “Users can log in worldwide via a web browser using single sign-on,” adds Tobias Klein.

The customer portal brings together various applications

At the heart of myLinde is the fleet management system, which includes features for access control, driver and truck management, pre-use checks, claims management, and truck analysis. “Digitization leads to noticeable efficiency gains, even for smaller fleets. For example, access rights can be adjusted with just a few mouse clicks, and information about drivers and trucks can be easily copied,” explains portfolio manager Tobias Klein. Depending on the user-defined settings, pending training sessions, maintenance tasks, and/or incidents are displayed directly on the home screen. “Customers who already use myLinde particularly praise the clear, intuitive user interface,” says Tobias Klein. “This also keeps training requirements to a minimum.” Data protection is of the utmost importance: personal data is visible only to specific user groups, the data is stored on servers in Europe, and the high security standards associated with ISO 27001 certification protect all company data from unauthorized access.

The second module of myLinde is designed to improve workplace safety by using Linde Safety Guard. This system alerts forklift operators and pedestrians to each other’s presence via fixed or mobile units. In myLinde, data collected by the system regarding near-misses or areas with a high risk of accidents can now be analyzed and displayed via customizable dashboards to raise employee awareness of identified hazards and proactively prevent workplace accidents. The third module provides fleet managers with an overview of the existing battery charging infrastructure and its usage. With just a few clicks, charging limits can be set, or trucks and chargers can be prioritized to avoid peak loads, reduce energy costs, and ensure the availability of priority forklifts.

New AI feature in myLinde

The new AI feature in myLinde makes creating analyses and reports easier than ever. Instead of entering data into analysis tools, users of the web portal can now simply enter instructions or questions, such as: „Create a table showing the operating hours of all forklifts over the past week,” or „What were the respective percentages for travel and lifting movements per forklift?”, or „Generate an overview of all shock events by day.” Tobias Klein is confident that this feature will be well received. „Compiling information from different data sources is tedious work, and few people enjoy doing it. Thanks to the ‘myLinde AI’ chat feature, this will soon become much simpler and more convenient.”
