This is our country's second world title in three years
Antwerp, October 25, 2026 – Belgium has excellent forklift operators, as was proven once again this weekend. On Saturday, October 24, he won Belgium namely the StaplerCup, the official world championship forklift operation in Germany. Just like in 2024 let the Belgians theiroppositioners behind them after 3 challenging preliminary roundss, a semifinal against Slovakia éIn a decisive match against Slovenia. This year, Belgium was represented by Jimmy Vleminx(Madrico) from Bree, Rocky Van Den Eeckhoudt (CCEP Wilrijk) from Duffel and Claude Vandenberghe (VDAB Rekkem) from Zwevegem. They were led by team captain Guy Dillen of the Antwerp-based company Motrac, distributor of Linde forklifts in Belgium.
The StaplerCup, organized by Germany’s Linde MH, is the ultimate highlight for competitive forklift drivers. Every year, international heavyweights compete in national teams for the world title, and this year it was the Belgian fans who had the most reason to cheer. By the end of day one, Belgium was already in the lead, having posted the best total time in the first preliminary rounds: fishing for forklift-shaped ducks with a chain and stacking soccer balls in a tall tube. On day two, they kept up their momentum. During the final preliminary round, they flawlessly assembled a barbell, and then, in the semifinals, were the fastest to stack a tower of gym balls. They easily surpassed that feat in the final, which was rewarded with the world title and a deafening round of applause from thousands of fans at the Linde MH Arena in Aschaffenburg (Bavaria).
This marks the second time in three years that our country has taken home the world title—an achievement that, until now, only host country Germany had managed. Who will represent our country next year will be decided, as it is every year in June, during the Belgian LindeCup, the Belgian forklift driving championship organized by Linde distributor Motrac.
