MMB machines also distributes Putzmeister concrete pumps in the Netherlands

Success formula gets a logical continuation

In Belgium, MMB machines is the successful ambassador of the quality brand Putzmeister. As exclusive distributor for the concrete pumps of this world leader, the company from Erembodegem (near Aalst) is now taking a new step: Dutch dealership. The new branch is located in Oosterhout (near Breda).

A coveted row of Putzmeister mobile concrete pumps is set up in front of MMB machinery's facility in Erembodegem (B).

The well-known German manufacturer Putzmeister develops and produces high-quality mobile and stationary concrete pumps for construction applications. MMB machines has those machines in its range, including a track-mounted stationary version in its own workshop, fourteen of which have already been built for the Belgian market (see boxed text).

That MMB machines will now also sell Putzmeister's concrete pumps in the Netherlands has a clear reason, explains owner Andre De Meyer. "Last year we sold more than forty-five units in Belgium, where only five were transferred in the Netherlands. While there are several opportunities. So you can understand why Putzmeister wants to provide a sustainable point of contact with MMB machines in the Netherlands. MMB machines will therefore copy-paste the successful recipe."

Slogan: 'We keep it pumping'

André likes to point out to us the strengths of MMB machines: excellent service, well-trained technicians according to Putzmeister standards, a warehouse with more than 3,500 spare parts and accessories, modifications in our own workshop and, last but not least, an out-and-out expert after-sales service. "Not for nothing is our slogan: 'We keep it pumping'. By this we do not only mean the quality of the machines, but above all that we will do everything possible to keep the concrete pumps running for the customer." We also notice this on the website in statements such as "We take on all challenges and always persevere to provide you with a sustainable and ready-made solution" and "A word is a word: we say what we do and do what we say.

Branch office in Oosterhout

The new Dutch branch of MMB machines can be found at Innovatiepark 24A in Oosterhout. An easily accessible, centrally located location near highways A27 and A59. The 1100-square-meter branch has a modern workshop and fully equipped warehouse for spare parts and is intended solely for sales, maintenance and repairs of Putzmeister's range of concrete pumps and accessories, Andre says. In fact, MMB machines is also a dealer in Belgium for Probst's ergonomic construction tools, Dynajet high-pressure cleaners and Putzmeister's screed and mortar range. At the time of writing this article, there were still three vacancies to be filled for the new branch, including two service technicians and a branch manager.

High demand for tracked concrete pump

Two special, mobile tracked versions have been added to Putzmeister's range of stationary concrete pumps: a BSA-C 1005 D5 and the slightly more powerful BSA-C 1409 D5. Both versions were designed by MMB machines in their own workshop. Weighing 3.7 and 6.1 tons respectively, the powerhouses are easy to drive on a flatbed trailer and, due to their small size, can get to places where a large boom pump cannot always be used. Another interesting feature is that the BSA-C can be controlled by the drilling operator from his wheelhouse via radio control.

Often the concrete pump has to be maneuvered on unpaved, muddy and unstable ground and this is no problem with the tracked version

Both machines are mainly used in foundation engineering and in pile-drilling companies. This usually involves maneuvering the concrete pump on unpaved, muddy and unstable ground, which is no problem with this tracked version. This immediately explains the rapidly growing interest in this innovation. But there is even more good news: in order to function optimally on construction sites with few facilities, these concrete pumps are fully equipped. They have a 180-bar high-pressure cleaner for cleaning concrete pipes, a large 400-liter water tank and an air compressor on board. The BSA-C 1005 D5 has a maximum flow rate of 52 m³/h, with a line pressure of up to 70 bar. In the case of the BSA-C 1409 D5, it is 97 m³/h and 71 bar.
