How can you get the most out of your energy investments?
The energy market is becoming increasingly complex for transportation and logistics companies. Investments in solar panels, batteries, charging infrastructure, and electric vehicles create new opportunities, but also raise many questions. How can you maximize the return on your energy investments? How can you manage your consumption and energy feed-in efficiently? And which energy contract best suits your business situation?
These are precisely the questions Enwyse aims to answer. At the Transport & Logistics 2026 trade show on September 22 and 23 in Ghent, the company will showcase its solutions for smart energy management in detail. Sales Director Tom Ave explains why transparency, flexibility, and insight are more important today than ever before.

Enwyse explicitly positions itself as a non-traditional energy supplier. The company focuses exclusively on business customers—ranging from small businesses to large energy consumers—and aims primarily to help companies use energy more efficiently.
“Our name literally refers to ‘energy-savvy,’” says Tom Ave. “We want to give business owners insight into their energy costs and help them make better choices. That ranges from properly understanding an energy bill to intelligently managing energy consumption and feed-in.”
Enwyse, together with the Dutch company NieuweStroom, is part of the Slim met Energie holding company. The company has been operating in Belgium since 2022. Initially, it operated under the name NieuweStroom, but with its expansion into Wallonia, the company opted for a new, more international-sounding name. As of July 2025, the company has therefore been operating as Enwyse.
According to Tom Ave, the energy market is currently undergoing a fundamental transformation. The need for flexibility is growing rapidly, particularly within the logistics sector. “Many logistics companies have large roof areas and are therefore investing heavily in solar energy, battery storage, charging infrastructure, and electric trucks. But as soon as you start generating your own energy, it becomes crucial to manage consumption, storage, and grid injection intelligently. That is precisely where the major challenge lies today.”
According to Ave, two clear trends are emerging in this regard. “On the one hand, there are companies that have already invested heavily in energy assets and are now looking for ways to maximize their return on investment. On the other hand, there are companies that are still in the early stages of that transition and are facing high investment costs, with significant pressure to make those investments profitable quickly.”
That is why Enwyse has made a conscious decision to use dynamic energy pricing. “This allows companies to actively manage their energy consumption based on price fluctuations in the energy market. When there is a lot of locally produced energy available—particularly solar and wind—and prices are low, additional consumption or storage can be scheduled. When energy prices rise, consumption can be reduced or shifted. This gives companies more control over their energy costs and allows them to get a better return on their own energy production.”.
“We believe that dynamic rates are the best fit for the professional market,” said Ave. “They create opportunities to make energy truly manageable. Transparency is essential in this regard. Companies want to fully understand how their energy costs are calculated. In addition, we set ourselves apart with flexible contract types. For example, we offer contracts that can be canceled on a monthly basis.”
“That choice requires us to earn our customers” trust anew every day. Only when that trust is established do customer relationships often evolve into longer-term partnerships.”
Enwyse develops various smart energy management solutions for transportation and logistics companies. The focus is primarily on optimizing locally generated energy.
Tom Ave explains: “Business owners are increasingly asking us the same question: How can I get the highest return on my solar panels and other energy assets? Especially when companies don’t have consistently high self-consumption, smart grid injection becomes important. With solutions such as curtailment (the temporary and automatic suspension of feed-in to the grid, ed.) and smart control, we help business owners better align their energy consumption, storage, and feed-in. To this end, we deliberately collaborate with specialized partners.”
“After all, we don’t want to be a traditional one-stop shop that completely locks customers in. On the contrary: customers retain the freedom to work with other suppliers or technology partners. Above all, we want to be the gateway to a smarter energy model.”
At Transport & Logistics 2026, Tom’s team will not only inform visitors about Enwyse’s solutions but also inspire them with ideas for smart energy management. “We’re currently working hard on an eye-catching booth where we’ll provide a visual overview of optimal energy management.”
“I’d also like to mention our Enwyse Academy, where we work with business owners to examine trends in the energy market, practical optimization strategies, and new technologies. Just as we do during these sessions, we also want to provide them with the best possible information at Transport & Logistics, so that energy doesn’t become a source of concern but rather a lever for their business.”
