From Trust Alone to Ever-Larger Conveyor Projects
Although the project was large, every millimeter counted.

From Trust Alone to Ever-Larger Conveyor Projects

When there is trust between partners, small projects can lead to larger ones. In the first half of the year, Easy Systems carried out impressive conveyor projects for a number of well-known names in Flemish industry, including TVH and Samsonite. Matthias Van Eyndhoven, business developer: “By helping customers with smaller projects, you build trust as a supplier. That clearly pays off. We also set ourselves apart by being more flexible.”

The major projects that Easy Systems carried out for TVH and Samsonite in the first half of 2026 are both the result of a relationship that goes back many years, Van Eyndhoven explains. “Years ago, we carried out several smaller projects. At the time, these companies chose us because we are more flexible. That was the case again this time. At TVH in Waregem, we were able to develop a solution that would have required major conveyor manufacturers to deviate from their standard designs.”

Conveyors for spare parts

Conveyors play a central role in the project that Easy Systems carried out for TVH in Waregem. The buildings, which primarily house spare parts for material handling, industrial equipment, and construction and agricultural machinery, are located on both sides of a thoroughfare. A bridge connects the buildings. “Our project focused primarily on the layout of a new building, which spans three floors. Although the project was large-scale, every millimeter counted. Every detail had to be just right, because even a small deviation can have major consequences. The conveyor solution we installed is connected to various machines designed to provide buffering.”

The conveyor systems that Easy Systems developed for TVH are designed for receiving goods. In this process, the materials are transported on the conveyors in totes, after which the operations team checks whether any additional actions are required. For each item, a decision is made as to whether it should go into the warehouse, be shipped directly to a customer, or require an additional action.”

New design for mounting brackets

“The scale of this project clearly stood out, but so did the close collaboration. It requires synergy and attention to detail,” said Van Eyndhoven. One example of such a detail is the design for new brackets for the sensors. “In doing so, we developed something that ultimately turned out to be better than our standard.”

Large flexible link

Conveyors also played a central role at Samsonite. A logistics consulting firm created the initial design, which was refined thanks to Easy Systems“ expertise and discussions between the designer and Samsonite. The complete sorter, featuring telescopic conveyors with two loops, offers the advantage of a redundant system and helps enable more flexible operations, buffering, and dynamic prioritization of the various flow streams. ”What we’ve created is a very large, flexible system—a beautiful interplay of different types of conveyors, divided into various sections. As a result, the automated pallet warehouse can operate as efficiently as possible. We load pallets both for storage in the warehouse and for shipment to customers.”

Good relationship: involved early in the design process

Experience with previous projects played an important role in securing the most recent partnership—not only at TVH, but also at Samsonite. “We’ve been supplying conveyors to Samsonite for twenty years. We have a good relationship, which is why we’re involved early on in the design process. It just goes to show that a small project can ultimately lead to a great partnership, including being awarded very large projects. That trust between partners is essential for success.”
