Steven lacquer receives Grand Anchor

During the 20^e Annual dinner of Deltalinqs features outgoing chairman Steven Lak, in recognition of his particularly distinguished and longstanding commitment to port business, awarded the Grand Anchor of the Port of Rotterdam.

In his speech, Port Authority CEO Allard Castelein recalled Steven Lak's many roles and functions as, successively, a civil servant, in the tug world, tank storage, dry bulk, the Port Authority itself, container handling and, after a short interlude, the last seven years as chairman of Deltalinqs. Castelein described Lak as a connecting, reliable, steadfast partner who knows how to get his message across well to companies, administrators, governments and media.

Large anchor

The Grand Anchor is the highest award of the Port of Rotterdam and is awarded to someone who has made a highly distinguished contribution to the development of the port. Since 2006, this award has only been presented 6 times. The last time was in 2017 to Mr. R.P.M. van Slobbe.
