Mulder Europe delivers first electric "Direct-Drive" stationary concrete mixer to Voorbij Funderingstechniek

This happened on project A16 Rotterdam, where Funderingscombinatie Voorbij Franki (FCVF) is carrying out the foundation work on behalf of De Groene Boog (Besix, Dura Vermeer, Van Oord, John Laing, Rebel and TBI companies Mobilis and Croonwolter&dros).

The supplier of these two gems, Mulder Europe, has been building stationary concrete mixers for construction sites for decades. In most cases, these mixers are powered by a diesel engine through a hydraulic system. In 2013, Mulder started producing electrically powered truck mixers, better known as ECO-Drive. The special feature of these new concrete mixers is that they are directly fully electrically driven. That is, the electric motor is mounted directly on the gearbox and there is no longer a diesel engine and hydraulic drive here.

A first, as Voorbij Funderingstechniek is the first company allowed to put this stationary electric mixer to work. It involves two mixers with a capacity of 9 m³ which can be controlled by radio or directly on the mixer. They are connected to a 63 amp power supply and therefore have no CO2 and nitrogen emissions!

Voorbij Funderingstechniek aims to create projects in a responsible and sustainable manner with care and attention to the environment, as well as to society. By minimizing the impact on the environment and optimizing the impact on society. In the past year, the company has already switched to HVO Blend 100% fuel and has taken the first steps to electrify its machinery and equipment fleet. The purchase of these first electric mixers is an important milestone in the ambition towards emission-free foundation.
