Investing in the future | Van der Straaten expands Infra team

Van der Straaten Aannemingsmaatschappij from Hansweert is taking over the 7 employees, the projects and the equipment of Bart de Goffau, Leidingbouw Zeeland, as of August 1. They will continue under the name Van der Straaten INFRA B.V. With this takeover Van der Straaten doubles the number of employees within its Infra team.

Joining forces

Leidingbouw Zeeland was already a regular partner of Van der Straaten in the field of Infra projects. "We have always valued this cooperation, because Leidingbouw Zeeland operates from the same core values as us. Through this acquisition we combine our strengths and can serve our customers even better," said Leonard Pekaar, general director of Van der Straaten.

Infra projects

Van der Straaten has been a specialist in street, cable and sewer work for many years. An example of a project recently completed is the redevelopment of the Sint Jansbuurt in Middelburg. But to stand still is to regress, according to Leonard Pekaar. "The acquisition of Leidingbouw Zeeland allows us to maintain and further expand our role as a specialist in cable and pipe work."

For more than 100 years, Van der Straaten has been a specialist in the field of civil engineering at home and abroad. The organization works on the border of land and water. Van der Straaten Aannemingsmaatschappij is a collection of operating companies within the specialties: geotechnics, foundation engineering, hydraulic engineering, civil engineering and infrastructure. In addition, Van der Straaten has its own steel workshop in Hansweert where the organization constructively prefabricates for its projects.
