For warehouse floors and production floors, functionality, durability, loadability and safety are often essential principles. In addition, the floors must withstand heavy point loads from racking and/or intensive traffic from forklifts and pallet trucks. But also against chemicals or other liquids, which can damage the top layer of the floor. Arturo responds to this with an extensive range of functional, seamless, liquid-proof and wear-resistant cast floors and coatings with a high level of chemical resistance that provide long-term and reliable protection in challenging environments.
The floor forms the functional basis of every room, but it also determines the atmosphere and feel of the space in which you live, work or live. This is precisely where Arturo has been adding value for more than 65 years. With a wide range of resin and cementitious flooring systems with functional and decorative finishes, Arturo creates floors that adapt perfectly to the function of a room and the wants and needs of its users. “Many people know us as a supplier of designer cast floors for homes, office buildings and schools,” knows product manager Kelly Heuker of Hoek. “But we can do much more than that. Because with a wide range of functional, seamless, liquid-proof and wear-resistant cast floors with high chemical resistance, we also offer reliable solutions for warehouse floors and production floors, for example.”

“In warehouses and production areas, the floor primarily has a functional task,” says Heuker of Hoek. “Many projects therefore start with a program of requirements, in which, for example, excellent wear and scratch resistance, high load capacity and excellent anti-slip properties dominate. In addition, the floor must often be seamless, liquid-proof and easy to clean. Our cast floors and coatings go along with this, reducing maintenance time and costs.”

An essential feature is also the longevity of the floors, says Arturo sales manager Emiel Danser. “Once the (pallet) racks and machines are on the floor, you can no longer access them. In that case, a long life of the floor is essential to prevent process disruption. Our flooring systems respond to this as well, with an average lifespan of 15 to 30 years for our cast floors, depending on load and maintenance. A lifespan that can be further extended by timely renewal of the top layer (coating).”
In addition to traditional flooring systems, Arturo has several products with electrically conductive properties, such as antistatic coatings or ESD molding floors. Another major advantage of the systems is that lines can easily be applied. For example, to separate flows of goods and pedestrians and/or to bring more structure to the warehouse or production site. “Here it is also possible to zone using colors,” said Heuker of Hoek. “For example, when several product groups are stored in one warehouse. Color flakes (flakes) here ensure that large color areas are broken up and that light soiling is less visible.”

“Based on the function of the floor, the desired properties and the budget per square meter, we are happy to select the right flooring system for each project,” says Heuker of Hoek. “Here, clients have a choice between a floor coating or a complete cast floor system, whereby the more layer thickness, the more economical and durable the floor will be.” In terms of floor coating, for example, clients have a choice of a water-based Arturo EP3010 or high-quality, solvent-free Arturo EP3900 Floor Coating, both of which are applied in two layers (approx. 0.5 mm). “For those with high demands on functionality and durability, we additionally offer a 1-2 mm thick Arturo EP2580 Cast Flooring, which can be finished with an (anti-slip) coating or top coat to determine the maturity and anti-slip value as desired.”

“An Arturo floor cannot be made without the craftsmanship of our professional applicators,” Danser emphasizes. “By training our applicators internally, they can work extremely well with our products and a high delivery quality is guaranteed. But our commitment does not stop there. We have five field representatives spread throughout the country, who are happy to visit the projects of our application partners. Based on the desired application, the program of requirements and the current circumstances, they prepare a recommendation report in which system structure, number of layers and application techniques are clearly explained. If necessary, our products are also tested internally. For example, when working with specific chemicals. On this basis, the applicator can advise his clients even better and we offer maximum security and reliability.” Arturo is also happy to come into direct contact with architects and construction management firms to support the market from that side as well.
