Festive opening brings colleagues and professional partners together

On June 5, 2026, Axelent Benelux celebrated the official opening of its new offices in Boortmeerbeek with a festive reception, a food truck, and live music. The move from Bonheiden—where the rapidly growing company had outgrown its space—is much more than just a change of address. More than a hundred guests attended the official opening of Axelent Benelux’s new office. Employees and their partners, colleagues from the Swedish headquarters, suppliers, and other invited guests gathered along the Leuven-Mechelen Canal for a pleasant evening.

In his speech, CEO Andreas Becquet noted that the move from Bonheiden to Boortmeerbeek was no coincidence. “Our new office is a perfect fit for the growth we’re achieving with our close-knit team at Axelent Benelux. Our team now consists of 22 employees, with 8 new colleagues joining us over the past three years. This year, our focus is not so much on additional hiring, but rather on efficiency, collaboration, and making the most of this new workspace.”

Inclusive Work Environment

The Axelent employees are already extremely enthusiastic about their new office. “With plenty of space and natural light—and a soothing view of the Leuven-Mechelen Canal—our office is a great place to work together and exchange creative ideas,” says Becquet. “In the afternoon, it’s nice to relax in our cozy lunchroom, and of course we’ve also found a great spot for our ping-pong table here. Eventually, we want to provide additional private spaces for focused work or phone calls.’

“At Axelent, we make a conscious choice to maintain a strong presence in the office. After all, I strongly believe in the power of in-person collaboration, because it often yields the best ideas and insights. That strong connection between colleagues is at risk of being lost with excessive remote work.”

In-house inventory for quick customer service responses

A major advantage of the new building is its on-site warehouse, where Axelent keeps a small inventory of replacement parts and essential safety components.

“When a customer’s collision protection systems or safety features are damaged, we need to be able to respond quickly,” said Becquet. “Thanks to our own inventory, we can now serve our customers more quickly and resolve emergency situations more efficiently. In the long term, I want to further expand our warehouse capacity so we can also stock materials for our own installation teams.”

However, there won’t be a traditional showroom in the new office building. “I’d rather take clients to see real-world examples. It’s only in completed projects that you can truly see how our safety solutions work and what added value they offer.”

Safety as a Core Activity

From its base in Boortmeerbeek, Axelent Benelux continues to do what has earned the company a solid reputation in the industry since 2003: supporting companies across various sectors in creating safe work environments.
