In November 2025 it is that time again: the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht will be fully dedicated to ICT&Logistics. For Consafe Logistics, this edition is extra special. Not only because the software developer is there again as an exhibitor, but especially because this year for the first time it is presenting both Astro WMS® and the recently acquired Solid WMS together. Managing Director Henk-Jan van Donkelaar, Managing Director Consafe Logistics Benelux, looks to the future with confidence.

Consafe Logistics has been operating as a software provider of advanced warehouse solutions for over forty years. With Astro WMS®, the company traditionally focuses on customers with complex operations, often in combination with mechanization and large-scale distribution networks. “But the market is broader than that,” says Henk-Jan van Donkelaar. “We saw that smaller logistics players also increasingly need smart automation. That was precisely where unexplored territory lay for us.”
The search for a suitable addition led to the acquisition of Solid WMS, a young SaaS player based in Breda, the Netherlands. Solid WMS is designed for manual warehouses with five to 30 users, typically in sectors such as e-commerce, retail and third-party logistics. “The product is quick to implement, user-friendly and designed for speed and simplicity,” said van Donkelaar. “Exactly what these market segments need.”

According to van Donkelaar, the choice of Solid WMS was not just technologically driven. “We found in Solid a partner with whom we have a clear cultural fit. The way they deal with customers aligns one-to-one with our own values. In addition, it is a young company built on the very latest technology. That knowledge is an enrichment, not only for their own product, but also for the further development of Astro WMS®.”
After nine months of intensive talks, the acquisition process was completed in May 2025. Since then, all Solid WMS employees have been part of Consafe Logistics. According to van Donkelaar, the integration is going very smoothly: “We have the intention to roll out Solid WMS outside the Netherlands as well. But first we are taking steps in our home markets of Belgium, the Netherlands and Sweden where demand is high.”

With the combination of Astro WMS® and Solid WMS, Consafe Logistics can now offer customers a growth path. Small warehouses start with Solid WMS and, as their operations become more complex, can grow to Astro WMS® without switching suppliers. “That gives peace of mind,” stresses Consafe Logistics“ top executive. ”We grow with the customer. Our competitors often serve only one segment, whereas we now cover the entire market."
For large customers, it also means that they can run their smaller satellite warehouses within the Consafe family as well, with software better suited to that scale. “It's comfort and continuity in one,” sums up van Donkelaar.
He sees another competitive advantage in local presence. “We operate in both the Netherlands and Belgium, serving customers in their own language. That sounds simple, but in practice it makes a world of difference.”
The trade fair ICT&Logistics 2025 is the moment for Consafe Logistics to broadly market this new strategy. At the stand in Utrecht, visitors will get live demos of both Astro WMS® and Solid WMS - which will be renamed during a relaunch in October - supported by customer cases that make the difference concrete. On a daily basis, groups of attendees will be taken on a tour of the various solutions. In addition, Consafe Logistics will participate in panel discussions focusing on the future of warehouse automation.
“For us, it is the perfect opportunity to meet with our existing network of customers and partners, as well as to meet new prospects,” said van Donkelaar. “But just as important: it's the first time we are publicly displaying our broad WMS portfolio. We want to make it felt that Consafe Logistics is now ready to support really any type of warehouse.”
