At the General Statutory Assembly on June 24, 2025, the members of VIL elected a new governing body.
Following directors were re-elected for another four-year term:
- AET - Yves De Larivière, Managing Director
- Colruyt Group - Dirk Leemans, Head Centre of Excellence Supply Chain
- DHL International - Danny Van Himste, Managing Director
- Gilbert De Clercq - Filip De Clercq, General Manager
- Cotton Nation - Tim Leysen, Site Director
- Nike ELC - Kurt Van Donink, Vice President Logistics Europe
- Pfizer - Nico Bogaerts, Global Customs & Compliance Lead
- Samsonite Europe - Wim Baert, Vice President Sales Administration & Logistics
Two new representatives join the governing body:
- Barry Callebaut Group - Evelien Thienpondt, Site Manager
- H.Essers - Bob Van Steenweghen, Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs
In addition, the renewal of the mandates of the strategic partners - imec, Flanders
Make, VITO and VLIR (Flemish Interuniversity Council) - ratified.
The representatives of the strategic partners are:
- imec - Jan Adriaenssens, Director Connected Society & Embedded Groups
- Flanders Make - Marc Engels, Chief Division Officer
- VITO - Peter Vercaemst, Deputy CEO
- VLIR - Mark Juwet, Professor at the Faculty of Industrial Engineering at KU Leuven
