TVM Belgium celebrates an impressive 458 truck drivers this year with the title of 'Knight of the Road' for their damage-free driving achievements of 3, 5, 10 or 20 years. Although the number of laureates is slightly lower than last year, it is significantly higher than the 2022 and 2021 editions, making this edition another great success. Among the laureates are mostly Bronze and Silver Knights, with a few Gold and once again one Diamond Knight in addition, representing a special achievement.
Years of damage-free driving is an impressive achievement. Both for the truck drivers who succeed in it and the companies that support them.
The dedication of these drivers and companies in terms of damage prevention deserves recognition. This is why TVM Belgium is again organizing the safety initiative Knights of the Road this fall, where TVM rewards them for their daily efforts and contribution to safer road traffic.
This year TVM Belgium again invited customers, with a BA guarantee within truck insurance, to nominate their drivers as "Knights of the Road.
The truck drivers who have not caused any damages for 3, 5, 10 or 20 consecutive years will be awarded Bronze, Silver, Gold or Diamond "Knights of the Road" on Saturday, Oct. 19. In addition to this honorable award, they will also receive a culinary dinner box with a three-course meal at home.
In addition to these Knights, transport companies play an important role in road safety and damage prevention by raising awareness and supporting their drivers. As a token of appreciation for these efforts, TVM Belgium also surprised them with a culinary lunch package.
Frank Van Nueten , Managing Director of TVM Belgium: "Prevention and training of truck drivers is essential. In line with our mission to improve road safety, we see a promising decrease in accident rates involving trucks and vans. I am convinced that our prevention work and actions such as Knights of the Road, contribute to this positive evolution and have a positive impact. By recognizing and rewarding excellent driving behavior, we encourage drivers to always put safety first, resulting in safer roads for all. Therefore, we are determined to continue contributing to this positive evolution and to continue rewarding safe drivers in the future."
