Robust customization
Is your current storage of profiles and sheets too chaotic and cluttered? Do you want less time wasted in handling? Then knock on Eurostorage's door. They have the solution, standard or customized. Saving space, saving time and efficient handling are their trump cards.
Eurostorage is a distributor of an extensive range of storage systems for sheets and profiles. Mainly for the metal processing industry, from SME to multinational, but also for sectors such as healthcare and services.
"Our storage systems create absolute efficiency gains and solid savings in labor hours," says Davy Moreels, who has been at the helm there since last July. "After all, the operator has direct access to the materials which allows him to work much faster. This applies to both removal and loading. By using one hundred percent roll-out drawers on wheels, you get immediate access to profiles and sheet metal." Eurostorage offers storage systems for all types of materials and in multiple sizes. Small (residual) sheets of 1 to 2 meters or heavy sheets of 6 meters can each be stored in a suitable solution. For long goods, there are solutions for lengths of 3, 6, 12 and even 20 meters with a load capacity per drawer of up to 9 tons if needed.
A plate warehouse consists of a combination of a lower and an upper block. The lower block contains pull-out drawers to release metal sheets from the plate rack for transfer via overhead crane. The upper block has drawers that can be unloaded by forklift through the socket openings for the forks. It is an absolutely compact and orderly storage method with great ease of use and focus on safety. Transporting the sheets to the machine is done with the loading ramp and suction cups or lifting magnets.
Because the materials are spread over several drawers and labeled, the operator has a clear view of his stock and can manage his stock optimally. "Moreover, the handling itself requires little physical effort, which immediately provides an ergonomic bonus. Extending the drawers is done manually or, in the case of heavier loading, with a rotary lever. Our systems offer great space savings compared to placing the material on the ground, as we often see with our customers. On the same floor space you store in height but you always maintain direct access to the material. For storage of full packages, we mainly place horizontal systems, but lighter material and remnants can also be stored vertically."
Apart from some standard systems that are always in stock, Eurostorage mainly makes customized storage systems. "The customer can determine all the parameters himself. Once we have a good idea of the available space, we determine the best configuration during an interactive discussion. We follow up the project from A to Z and the delivery follows roughly ten weeks after the order. With a one-time investment, you're set for life. In principle, our systems require no maintenance. Thanks to our robust construction, the return on investment is very high. And if a rare defect does occur, we react quickly and send a team on site in no time."
