No red carpets, spectacular shows, or lavishly decorated exhibition booths—but thousands of professional contacts and valuable conversations. That remains the recipe for success for Transpro, the trade show organized by UPTR and PayCover. On June 3 and 4, 2026, more than 3,000 visitors flocked to Waregem Expo for the fourth edition of the event. Co-organizer Bruno Velghe looks back with satisfaction on a trade show that once again proved that simplicity, substance, and networking go hand in hand.
Transpro was founded a few years ago based on a simple idea: to create a meeting place where carriers, logistics providers, and suppliers could come together in an informal setting. That concept continues to prove popular.
“With more than 3,000 visitors, we can call this a successful event,” says Bruno Velghe of PayCover. “But even more important than the number of visitors is the quality of those in attendance. Our exhibitors come to Transpro because it allows them to connect directly with business owners and decision-makers from transportation and logistics companies, both in Flanders and Wallonia.”
This year’s trade show brought together more than 85 exhibitors and brands. In addition to the eight major truck manufacturers, suppliers of trailers, IT and telematics solutions, HR services, training programs, insurance, financing, fuels, and tires were also represented.
“Afterward, I received several emails from exhibitors who explicitly thanked us for organizing the event,” says Velghe. “They were extremely satisfied with the quality of the visitors and the leads they were able to generate during the trade show. Ultimately, that’s what matters most to them.”

Just as in previous editions, networking was a key focus. The open bar and food trucks once again served as the social hub of the exhibition floor.
“That remains one of our greatest strengths,” said Velghe. “People don’t feel rushed here. They take the time to talk to each other, share experiences, and make new connections. That relaxed atmosphere means visitors often stay longer than they would at traditional trade shows.”
The conference program also drew a great deal of interest. Various informational sessions addressed current topics, such as the Dutch toll system, data-driven fleet management, the mandatory tachograph in delivery vans used for international transport, and the energy transition within the sector.
“One area of concern is that visitors sometimes come and go during the sessions,” Velghe admits. “That’s not always ideal for the speakers. Still, we received positive feedback from participants who found the substantive sessions to be particularly useful.”

A major new feature of this year's event was the introduction of an outdoor area. That addition proved to be an instant hit.
“For the first time, we were able to display a few trucks and tractors outdoors, including electric vehicles,” says Velghe. “That added an extra dynamic to our trade show. Both exhibitors and visitors were very enthusiastic about this format.”
The organizer therefore sees opportunities here for the future. “We want to further expand that outdoor area. Electric trucks, in particular, will play an increasingly prominent role there. With each edition, we notice that interest in zero-emission mobility is growing. Transpro is an ideal setting for transport companies to become familiar with these new technologies.”
Not everything went according to plan. For example, Federal Minister of Mobility Jean-Luc Crucke unfortunately had to cancel his previously announced attendance on opening day.
“Still, that didn’t dampen the positive atmosphere,” says Velghe. “The trade show has once again proven that there is a need for an event that brings the industry together and fosters connections.”
Together with co-organizer UPTR, he is already looking ahead. “The next edition will take place in Wallonia, though we still need to finalize the location and date. In 2028, Transpro will then return to Waregem. And we remain committed to our goal: we want to provide a platform where people can meet, share knowledge, and launch new collaborations. If visitors and exhibitors go home satisfied, then our mission is a success.”
