Logistics real estate developer Panattoni further expands its activities in Europe and enters the Belgian market. Jeroen Gerritsen has been appointed General Manager Panattoni Belgium. For Panattoni, starting in Belgium is a logical strategic step. With important ports and excellent connections to major European markets, including Germany, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, Belgium is an indispensable link in the European logistics sector. This favorable geographical location makes the country an attractive location for the establishment of multifunctional business premises for a variety of tenants. Moreover, the Belgian market shows a growing need for high-quality and sustainable logistics facilities to which Panattoni can respond with its expertise.

To further advance its expansion, Panattoni has hired Joren van Hout as Technical Development Director for Belgium and the Belgian team will be further expanded in the near future. With more than 12 years of experience on both the public and private sides of the construction world, van Hout brings with him a considerable dose of knowledge and expertise. For example, he worked on a variety of logistics projects at Heylen Warehouses. Before his switch to Panattoni, he was project manager responsible for infrastructure projects at the Municipality of Westerlo in the Belgian province of Antwerp. In his new role as Technical Development Director, Van Hout coordinates contacts with the public sector, contractors, architects, engineering and other technical consulting companies. His areas of attention during the project development process are directing the technical feasibility study of acquisitions, the incorporation of projects in zoning plans the realization of the design, engineering, planning, budget and supervision of the construction process.
