Construction of the new BIA offices and workshop in the Netherlands officially started on Wednesday, June 19. It was Vincent Bia, CEO of the BIA Group, who, in the presence of all the company's employees and representatives of Komatsu Europe, put the symbolic first shovel into the ground.
The new headquarters, designed entirely from the cradle-to-cradle philosophy, will be located in the Apeldoorn-North business park. It involves an investment of no less than 5 million Euro in 900 m² of office space and a spacious ultra-modern workshop of 1400 m², Designed for optimal flexibility, effectiveness and ergonomics. Patrick Schothuis, Country Manager BIA bv: "It will really just be a very nice building, if you have passion for this business this is the best place to work!"
Its location along the A50 near the junction with the A1 provides excellent access for customers from all over the country and makes a good central base of operations.
Vincent Bia recalled that BIA has been operating in the Netherlands as an exclusive distributor of Komatsu since 2004. He confirmed that these new facilities will take customer service to a higher level. But on the other hand, he stressed that the most important element of customer satisfaction is still the professionalism and drive of the employees, whom he therefore explicitly thanked.
The new building will be inaugurated in June 2020.
