Packsize, a market leader in sustainable ‘on-demand’ packaging automation, has reached an agreement regarding the proposed acquisition of Panotec’s packaging business. The Italian company develops and manufactures automated solutions for producing custom-sized boxes. With this acquisition, Packsize further expands its product portfolio and strengthens its presence in more than fifty countries across North America, Europe, and other international markets.
“This acquisition aligns perfectly with our strategy. It strengthens our ability to offer flexibility to companies that want to optimize their packaging processes and make them more sustainable,” says Brian Reinhart, Chief Revenue Officer at Packsize. “In addition, we are bringing together two organizations that share the same innovative vision for the future of automated custom packaging. This will better equip us to accelerate our growth and create even more value for our customers worldwide.”
The takeover follows the acquisition of Sparck Technologies in April 2025. This combined Packsize’s technology and services with Sparck’s 3D packaging systems.
“This is an important step for both Packsize and our customers,” said Kellen Frey, Chief Operating Officer at Packsize. “The acquisition strengthens our technological capabilities and enables us to further expand our portfolio of scalable and efficient packaging solutions. By bringing together talent, technology, and manufacturing capacity, we can better support customers worldwide with outstanding quality and service.”
Carlo Capoia, Vice President of Panotec, adds: “We look forward to combining the strengths of our companies. Together, we can offer the market a unique product portfolio and even better service.”
The acquisition is expected to be completed once the usual procedures have been completed. This includes approval from the relevant regulatory authorities and the required consultation with the affected labor unions.
