Össur is partnering with Element Logic to support healthcare logistics in the Netherlands

Össur Europe B.V., a global supplier of medical devices and orthopedic solutions, is entering into a partnership with Element Logic, an international specialist in warehouse automation and intralogistics optimization. Through this partnership, Össur aims to further strengthen its healthcare logistics operations in the Netherlands. The project is part of Össur’s ongoing efforts to further optimize and streamline its distribution processes, while also aligning with Element Logic’s continued focus on the healthcare sector.

From its Eindhoven facility, Össur handles the distribution of a broad product portfolio, including braces and prostheses, for the EMEA region. To further support these logistics operations, Össur selected Element Logic as its automation partner following an intensive collaboration process.

Support for Logistics Chains in Healthcare

The partnership will begin in the Netherlands and is designed to facilitate close collaboration between the two organizations.

Local implementation, backed by international experience

The project is being carried out by Element Logic’s local Benelux team, in close collaboration with Össur’s organization. This approach ensures short lines of communication and strong operational coordination, while allowing Element Logic to leverage its international experience in automation.

The solution is based on an AutoStore system, supplemented by a conveyor system supplied and integrated by Element Logic, combined with Element Logic’s eManager software. The installation includes 26,270 bin locations, 12 AutoStore robots, and four gates for picking and decanting.

The contract was signed in November 2025. The go-live is scheduled for October 2026.
