High-Speed, Flexible Packaging Machines
Lantech, a manufacturer of end-of-line packaging machines, offers a range of innovative packaging systems designed to provide the logistics and e-commerce sectors with fast, flexible packaging machines that set new standards in warehouse logistics and optimize the shipment of goods.
The modular box formers produce up to 1,800 boxes per hour with flexible dimensions ranging from 200 x 150 x 150 mm to 800 x 600 x 635 mm. The case erector produces right-angled boxes with 90-degree corners, regardless of the type of corrugated cardboard, fluctuating temperatures or humidity, or varying dimensions of the flat sheets. Users are guaranteed rectangular shipping boxes that are ideal for the logistics chain and offer maximum stability. Depending on the customer’s preference, the bottom of the box is sealed with hot melt, tape, or both. Right-angled boxes are stable and perfectly suited for gluing four-sided lids.
The software engineers at Lantech in Malden have developed a unique system for automatically stocking the magazine of the box formers. The flat sheets are picked up and placed in the magazine, regardless of their position on the pallet. The straps are also removed and automatically deposited in a waste bin. There are no specific requirements for the pallets, and no human intervention is required.

Lantech’s MFC Multi-Format Box Erector increases the flexibility of the packaging process by allowing boxes of various sizes to be erected using a single machine. This compact solution features up to four magazines that can be configured individually and loaded during operation. This allows boxes of different sizes to be produced on a single machine without the need for changeovers or production interruptions.
Compared to using multiple conventional case erecting machines with a single magazine, the MFC requires significantly less floor space, making it a highly space-efficient solution. Even more space is saved thanks to the central box output point, as there is no need to combine multiple conveyor belts into a single output system.

The Multi Format Box Erector can also be easily integrated into existing packaging lines and distribution centers. The MFC can handle boxes ranging in size from a minimum of 200 x 150 x 150 mm to a maximum of 620 x 450 x 650 mm. The maximum throughput is 1,080 boxes per hour. The MFC is also equipped with Lantech’s Total Control System. This ensures precise control during the forming process, so that the boxes are perfectly square. These uniformly square boxes prevent jams and are easier to load, stack, and palletize.

With a maximum capacity of 1,320 boxes per hour, the CS-1000 High Speed Random Box Sealer can seal boxes of various sizes in random order. The sealer can automatically adjust based on an upstream signal or a measurement taken in the first section of the machine. An upstream signal ensures that the machine automatically adjusts to the next incoming box. The machine can also be equipped with sensors or light curtains to measure the height and width of the box as it enters the machine. It then adjusts fully automatically to seal the box. The machine is ideal for use in packaging environments where multiple packaging lines handling many different box sizes converge at the output side to be processed centrally by a single box sealer.
In addition to machines for erecting and closing perfectly square boxes ranging in size from a minimum of 200 x 150 x 150 mm to a maximum of 800 x 600 x 635 mm, Lantech also manufactures a wide range of tray erecting and lidding machines.

The Parcel Pack e-commerce packaging solution produces letterbox-sized trays. The TE Parcel Tray erector and the LA Parcel lid applicator produce up to 1,000 perfectly square cardboard letterbox-sized packages per hour. These compact systems can be easily integrated into the shipping departments of e-commerce or fulfillment services. The LA Parcel lid applicator also offers an option where the lid is glued differently and remains attached on one side. This allows any return shipment to be sent in the same packaging. Tray loaders for trays ranging from a minimum of 165 x 110 x 20 mm to a maximum of 600 x 400 x 400 mm, along with the corresponding lid applicators, are also manufactured in Malden.
