More and more machinists agree: the fully automatic quick-change system allows them to work faster while achieving a better end result. Steelwrist sees this reflected in the demand, especially now that thanks to the Open-S standard the exchange has been greatly improved. Both in the demolition sector and in infra and earthworks, we see the fully automatic quick coupler in action more and more often, whether or not in combination with the tiltrotator.
With the SQ series, Steelwrist has launched a complete range of fully automatic quick couplers for both small and large excavators/demolition machines in the range from 12 to as much as 70 tons. Of course, the range also includes the necessary end plates for all attachments. Because of the many different machine brands and attachments, problems arose with interchangeability. Fortunately for all those machine operators, there is now the Open-S standard. This was created by Steelwrist together with Rototilt to ensure the desired interchangeability.
Through Open-S, machine operators can easily combine machine couplings, swivels and implements from participating manufacturers and can be confident that they are all compatible with each other. More and more manufacturers are joining this industry standard, contributing to further product development while offering end users complete freedom of choice.
More and more well-known infrastructure, demolition and recycling companies are now working with the SQ fully automatic quick-change systems to their full satisfaction. The increase in efficiency is evident, because hydraulic tools, buckets and, last but not least, the tiltrotator can be changed quickly and effortlessly. It is impossible to imagine our toolbox without it.
For each application, a suitable design is conceivable. Here are a few examples: think of a tiltrotator fixed to the machine with a fully automatic SQ quick coupler at the bottom in combination with a High Flow feedthrough. Or a detachable tiltrotator with SQ intake at the top and the "normal" S-type quick coupler at the bottom. What is also possible: a removable sandwich tilt rotator with an SQ attachment at the top and an SQ quick coupler at the bottom.
Safety is very important at Steelwrist and we see that reflected in the equally simple and effective automatic Front Pin Lock. The second generation of this has now appeared. It ensures with its double locking on both axes that no trays or tools are ever lost unexpectedly. It is a simple and intuitive system without expensive and fragile sensors or delicate electronics. All this makes it very reliable.
