Oosterkade Rotterdam

Commissioned by the municipality of Rotterdam, on the beautiful Oosterkade in Rotterdam we have repaired 31 king piles, 26 intermediate piles, 18 stair piles and all horizontal brakes and fills using the Protek Aqua® recovery method.

After restoration, the king posts were white-painted and numbered. We also applied a 210-m anti-slip coating over the horizontal brakes and fills. We are incredibly proud of this project in which we saved 24,870 kg of CO2 emissions with the municipality of Rotterdam.

This is equivalent to the CO2 emissions of nearly 200 flights to Paris. The municipality of Rotterdam is satisfied with the work done and the Oosterkade is like new again. Together we are going for a greener future.

Bridges in Groningen restored

In Groningen, we began work on a series of special bridges with concrete decks, for which we restored the entire timber structure: the yoke posts, the upper and lower notches, the purlins and all their connections.

We also repaired the connecting sheet piling. With this, the municipality of Groningen has chosen a sustainable solution in which the life span of the structures has been extended by thirty years.
