Accidents often happen in the blink of an eye, but time off work following a foot injury can last a long time. In logistics and transportation, everything revolves around speed and continuity. Since the introduction of the revised ISO standard, EN ISO 20345, the safety classes S1PS and S3S are increasingly common in the workplace. The main difference lies in their intended use: Thanks to their lightweight and breathable uppers, S1PS shoes are ideal for employees who work exclusively in dry, indoor warehouses. However, for those who regularly need to go outdoors, there are S3S shoes, which feature a water-resistant upper and a profiled slip-resistant sole.
By matching the right safety class to the specific workplace, you ensure the appropriate level of safety. But in addition to the mandatory requirements of the EN ISO 20345 standard, as a user, you want above all a stylish low- or high-top model that’s exceptionally comfortable to wear.
