During LogiMAT 2026, Modula will introduce a new vertical storage solution for long materials: Modula Long Goods. With this system, the Italian intralogistics specialist responds to a common challenge within industrial environments, where long materials such as profiles, bars and extrusions are often difficult to store efficiently, safely and conveniently.
Modula Long Goods enables vertical automation for materials as long as 7 meters. Thus, Modula significantly expands the area of application of vertical storage systems within production and logistics environments. The solution will be presented for the first time at LogiMAT in Stuttgart (Hall 1, booth 1C67).
According to managing director Andy Van Mieghem, the introduction meets a clear market demand: “With Modula Long Goods, we are answering a demand we have been hearing from the market for years. Long materials were often the missing link in vertical automation. With this solution, we make it possible to also manage profiles, tubes and extrusions in a safe, ergonomic and space-saving way without compromises. Thus we continue to deliver on our promise: a vertical solution for every storage challenge.”

With the introduction of Modula Long Goods, Modula further expands its portfolio. The offering includes the versatile Modula Lift, the compact and flexibly deployable Modula Slim and the specific Modula Pallet solution for automated pallet storage. All systems operate on the goods-to-person principle.
Elevators are tailored to the available height, desired load capacity, product dimensions and configuration, down to drawer level with dividers and accessories. Intuitive visual aids, integrated software and links to WMS and ERP systems ensure that storage, picking and stocking are not only space-saving, but also fast and error-free.
With this, Modula offers a scalable solution for a variety of storage needs: from small parts and pallets to - now including - long materials.

Modula Long Goods is available in two variants, which differ in drawer depth:
Drawer height starts at 237 mm and can be extended to 600 mm, providing flexibility for a variety of material profiles. Both versions support a maximum load of 900 kg per drawer, with a total net storage capacity of up to 80,000 kg. Installations can reach heights of up to 24 meters, providing significant savings in floor space.

The drawers can be subdivided across the depth with up to four dividers. This creates multiple parallel storage rows within one drawer, increasing space utilization, clarity and order picking efficiency.
The system is suitable for the storage of bars, profiles, pipes, wood and extrusions, among others. On the outside, the dispensing point can be integrated with manipulators, overhead cranes and forklift trucks, allowing materials to be loaded and unloaded directly. An optional side opening is available for taking out individual rods, for example for coupling to saws or machining lines. A fold-down drawer is also an option.

Modula Long Goods works seamlessly with the Modula WMS. Long materials are thus managed digitally, structured and fully traceable. Integration with existing ERP systems is possible, making the system fit within modern, highly automated production and logistics environments.
With Modula Long Goods, Modula takes the next step in vertical automation and provides a concrete answer to a logistics challenge that has been present in many industries for years.
At LogiMAT, Modula can be found in Hall 1 - Stand 1C67.
