Hai Robotics appoints Casper Huisman as Country Manager Benelux to strengthen European growth

Hai Robotics, pioneer in Autonomous Case-handling Robot (ACR) systems, strengthens its commitment to the European market with the appointment of Casper Huisman as Country Manager for Benelux. With its European headquarters based in the Netherlands, Hai Robotics has already built a strong presence on the continent, with more than 70 projects signed and delivered for leading retailers, clothing brands and electronics companies. The Benelux market, with its dense logistics infrastructure and crucial role as a European gateway, is a natural priority for the company's continued growth.

Local leadership with deep logistics expertise

Casper brings more than a decade of experience in warehouse operations, team leadership and consulting. He began his career on the warehouse floor and now combines hands-on experience with a keen understanding of customer needs and automation strategy.

"I have seen logistics challenges from both sides - as an operator and as a consultant. My focus now is to translate this experience into concrete solutions for companies in the Benelux. That means listening carefully to our customers, guiding them through decisions, and ensuring that our projects deliver sustainable value," Huisman said.

In his new role, Casper's initial focus is on strengthening Hai Robotics' visibility in the Benelux, building relationships with local partners and ensuring that ongoing and future projects deliver tangible results for customers. In addition, he plans to build a local team that can quickly respond to customer needs while leveraging the resources of the European headquarters in the Netherlands.

HaiPick Systems: making automation accessible and scalable

Hai Robotics has developed a modular approach to automation called HaiPick Systems. Through a catalog of advanced robotics and software packages, combined with virtually any standard storage system, Hai Robotics provides customized automated solutions that are easily scalable once implemented.

In recent years, Hai Robotics has redefined automation with innovative solutions such as HaiPick System 1 and HaiPick System 3. These systems have been widely used in Europe because of their flexibility, high storage density and fast implementation times.

HaiPick Climb builds on the same DNA, including seamless integration with WMS/ERP systems. It is specifically designed for locations with high demands for throughput and storage density. As the newest member of the HaiPick portfolio, HaiPick Climb represents the next phase of innovation, making the benefits of goods-to-person automation available to facilities that were previously too complex or costly to automate.

With two climbing arms guided by a single rail, HaiPick Climb minimizes infrastructure requirements and maximizes storage height and density. This combination of simplicity and capacity has already garnered international recognition, including the Archies Award for Excellence in Automation during IMHX 2025 and the MTP Gold Medal on Modernlog 2025.

Proven local expertise in various industries

Hai Robotics has already proven itself as a reliable automation partner in the Benelux, with more than 10+ warehouse projects that have been realized locally. These implementations cover a wide range of industries - from high-tech manufacturing and electronics to apparel distribution and omni-channel retail - and demonstrate the versatility of HaiPick Systems for diverse operational needs.

  • At apparel and B2B distribution implemented New Wave Textiles in Utrecht HaiPick System 3, increasing storage capacity by more than 30% while maintaining 99% order picking accuracy.
  • At retail scaled Ochama in Berkel en Rodenrijs is phasing up automation to 180,000 storage locations with 170 HaiPick robots, good for a daily output of up to 100,000 items and optimal use of vertical space.
  • In the electronics streamlined Prodrive Technologies operations with HaiPick System 1, resulting in 35% lower logistics costs and nearly a tripling of efficiency.

In addition to these mentioned references, Hai Robotics also cooperates with other leading global brands operating in the Benelux, further underscoring confidence in the company's solutions. Looking ahead, the company is preparing to fully deliver a large-scale project for one of the region's most well-known e-commerce retailers in the first quarter of 2026 - a major milestone that will further emphasize Hai Robotics' role in high-volume, omni-channel operations. The diversity of projects illustrates Hai Robotics' strong track record and ability to deliver measurable value across different market segments.

Strengthening partnerships and looking to the future

To further expand its reach in the local market, Hai Robotics is also investing in a strong partner ecosystem. Vanas Engineering, a respected Benelux integrator, became an official partner last year. In October, Hai Robotics and Vanas will co-host a webinar to discuss HaiPick Climb present and discuss how this can help companies in the Benelux overcome space constraints and accelerate automation projects. Register now to reserve your spot!

With Casper Huisman heading the Benelux team, Hai Robotics is determined to deepen its engagement with local customers and partners. The company will further expand its ecosystem - including its partnership with Vanas - and support companies of all sizes in dealing with labor shortages, sustainability requirements and rapid market changes.

"Traditional obstacles to automation no longer need to hold companies back. With HaiPick Systems, we can deliver ROI, scalability and reliability for a wide range of operations. I look forward to working with partners and customers to bring these benefits to the Benelux market," concludes Huisman.
