Exotec unveils Next-Gen Skypod at LogiMAT 2025

Premiere of latest generation warehouse robot at Europe's largest intralogistics trade fair

Exotec, the global specialist in warehouse robotics, is introducing its latest generation warehouse robot solution at LogiMAT 2025. Visitors to Europe's largest intralogistics trade fair can see the latest generation Skypod in action from March 11-13 in Stuttgart.

With these advanced Skypod robots, companies can respond more efficiently to multichannel needs with a single solution. Exotec is thus responding to the changing market demand and increasing use of warehouse robotics in logistics processes.

LogiMAT 2025

LogiMAT is Europe's largest intralogistics trade fair, where some 1,600 exhibitors in ten halls present the latest innovations for more efficient logistics processes. Professionals from more than 40 countries visit the event to learn about groundbreaking technologies. Exotec presents its next gen AS/RS Skypod system to the general public for the first time here on a 220m2 booth.

Skypod Next Gen: one system for multi-channel and retail

The latest Skypod generation combines advanced order picking, integrated buffering and optimal sequencing for maximum warehouse efficiency. Thanks to innovations and new software features, throughput per workstation increases by 50% and storage density increases by 30% over the previous generation.

One of the key improvements is the ability to perform both piece and case picking. This allows companies to meet the demands of multichannel retail and e-commerce with a single solution. In addition, the system supports additional logistics functions and integrates seamlessly with existing traditional equipment and complex subsystems.

Strategic growth in the Benelux

Exotec will celebrate its tenth anniversary in 2025 and has quickly developed into a global leader in warehouse robotics. With now 1,300 employees and an expected staff growth of 25% in 2025, Exotec is responding to the rising demand for advanced warehouse solutions. In this, the Benelux is a strategic growth region.

Currently, Exotec serves more than ten different customers in the Benelux, including Bluestar, Ceva and Auchan Retail, and expects to deploy more than a thousand Skypod robots to customers by the end of 2025.

To support this growth and further optimize implementations, Exotec has expanded its team with Project Operations Manager, Björn Joon. This appointment strengthens Exotec's ambitions to further support companies in the region.
