New fork positioner from CAM attachments increases processing precision and safety

TVH, a leading specialist in components for material handling, agricultural, construction and industrial off-road machinery, today launches the PK-TS fork positioner, the latest addition to its range of CAM attachments. Designed for precision and safety when handling goods, the PK-TS offers features specifically tailored to operators of material handling machines such as forklifts and telehandlers.

CAM attachments, subsidiary of TVH, specializes in manufacturing attachments for off-road machines. Today they introduce the PK-TS fork adjuster. This new attachment allows operators to hydraulically adjust the fork width from the cab, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. This reduces the risk of operator injury and fatigue, which in turn leads to a safer and more efficient working environment. In addition, the side shift function enables precise sideways movement of loads, reducing cycle times and increasing productivity.

Technical details of the PK-TS fork adjuster

The frame consists of two C sections for precise guidance of the fork carriers. Choosing cylinders according to the hydraulic principle of communicating vessels, rather than applying flow distribution valves or throttling valves to the cylinders, ensures equal arm movement.

The PK-TS also has a reinforced frame and scratch-resistant powder coating, and the connections between piston rods and fork carriers are made of stainless steel extensions with ball rod ends. All this helps absorb deformations between cylinder, frame and carrier that occur during dynamic load handling processes, especially when moving loads over uneven terrain or under other harsh conditions.

The compact design and low build height improve visibility and maneuverability in tight spaces, making the fork positioner usable for a variety of applications. This model comes as a hook-on version with carriers to mount standard forks (ISO 2328:2011). Other models of the PK series can have fork arms and are available either integrated, with or without side shift function, or with various combinations of these functions.
