Think early about mounting solutions for devices to be purchased

"I always advise carriers to think about the mounting solution for the devices in good time. We regularly see that this only happens after the devices have already been selected and then it is discovered that no matching mounting solution is available, or cannot be applied in the most ideal way," says Hans van den Berg, sales manager of RAM Mounts Benelux. Plug-and-play

The patented RAM Mounts system is durable, can be installed quickly and features a variety of customization options. The system is distinguished by its plug-and-play application and extra-long warranty period. "Our system consists of three interchangeable components: the mounting part for the dashboard, the arm and the holder for the device. These are interchangeable so you can always adapt or expand the system. For example, suppose a transport company first works with cell phones and then wants to switch to tablets, all they have to do is replace the holder. Moreover, with our huge range, we offer many choices. For example, if one prefers not to drill into the dashboard, they can choose our suction cup system. Are you looking for a ball & arm system, tele-pole with swivel arm, flexible rod or a track system? That's no problem either," laughs Van den Berg.

RAM Mounts offers a lifetime warranty on its non-electronic components, but goes the extra mile: "Unlike our competitors, we offer not two, but three years of warranty on all our cradles."

Runner

RAM Mounts' customer portfolio includes well-known names such as Reining Transport and EBTrans. Asked about the most sold product within the logistics sector, Van den Berg answers firmly, "The USB-C-powered dock for the Samsung Tab Active5 & 3. That's an absolute runner. We can provide both a universal version and a customized dock. It is also available for the cell phone and just contains everything the driver needs." This dock offers power and charging capabilities via GDS® pogo-pins. It also maintains access to the stylus and ports during use and is compatible with a variety of covers and accessories.

CAN Bus

Also popular is RAM Mounts' patented GDS CAN Bus. This is the industry's first CAN Bus harness that transmits both power and vehicle data directly to a device. Unlike traditional systems, which often operate on a subscription basis, this solution is more efficient and cost-friendly. "It is, of course, enormously pleasing that drivers no longer have to choose between power or data," Van den Berg adds.

Expansion
