The industry is in dire need of competitively priced, electric-powered forklifts. Hyundai responded to that demand by launching the BE-X series last year, consisting of five forklift trucks with lifting capacities ranging from 1,600 to 3,500 kilos. A good move, in ZHE Trading's experience: "We notice a great interest in these powerful, reliable forklifts. You get a lot of truck for a reasonable price and that in combination with the backup of a European dealer network," says Julian Vissers, working as sales manager at ZHE Trading. Hyundai forklift trucks are imported by them exclusively for the Netherlands.
The company has been in the mechanization business since 1981 and offers a wide range of warehouse equipment from the Korean brand. Besides a wide range of forklifts - both diesel, LPG, and electric powered - one can also find hand pump trucks, reach trucks, and electric pallet trucks and stackers. In addition, ZHE Trading provides customers with attachments and forklift parts. All of this can also be found on their online platform "New Forklift Buying. "We distribute the materials throughout the Netherlands through our distribution network. And apart from sales, rental and leasing is also possible. People can also come to us for service and repair, on-site if required. We work with a team of twenty employees, consisting of product specialists and service engineers, all with solid experience within the field."
Those looking for a solid, affordable forklift, but don't want to compromise on performance, quickly turn to the Hyundai BE-X series. "This series is built on ease of use and low maintenance costs. Not too much fuss, so to speak and thus a low Total Cost of Ownership. This no-nonsense series of the already familiar Hyundai forklifts offers all the benefits of the renowned Hyundai brand, but more sharply priced."
As we have come to expect from Hyundai, the BE-X series is also extremely robust. Powered with a maintenance-free AC technology motor (IP54), this entire series is suitable for harsher conditions. The four-wheelers are available with both traditional lead-acid traction and lithium-ion batteries. Practical is the side battery changing system, as well as the so-called anti-roll back system for working on a slope. That the forklifts were designed with the operator in mind is reflected in the ergonomic design and the fact that all functions are within easy reach. The comfortable and intuitive operation reduces fatigue and therefore improves safety.
The driver can check the status of the machine in real time on the multifunction digital color display. In addition to the standard data, it shows various data that allow the driver to operate the vehicle safely. Various performance modes can also be selected, adaptable to operating conditions: high, normal, economic and turtle mode (creep mode).
The Hyundai 16 and 20BE-X electric forklifts have lift capacities of 1,600 and 2,000 pounds, respectively. Both models have a 500-millimeter load center and are powered by 48V motors. For heavier work, the 25, 30, and 35BE-X electric forklifts have been developed. With lifting capacities of 2,500, 3,000, and 3,500 pounds, respectively. The 25BEX is powered by a 48V motor, while the other two are powered by an 80V motor.
Those who like fast service will find a good partner in ZHE, Vissers explains: "From companies switching from large organizations, we hear that our customer contact is more personal and we get things done more quickly. And because we have a national dealer network, we can also serve all of the Netherlands."
