Engcon, the world market leader in the field of rotary buckets for excavators from 1.5-33 tons, is the only manufacturer of a unique type of grapple cassette. The excavator operator can assemble or disassemble the grapple cassette in less than a minute with a single handle, without screws or manual coupling of hydraulics.
First launched was the gripper cassette GRD20 for engcon's EC214 and EC219 rotary tilt sections, with tool attachment Q-Safe 60, followed by the GRD10 for engcon's EC209 rotary tilt section, with tool attachment Q-Safe 45 and Q-Safe 50. Now it is time for series production of gripper cartridge GRD70 for engcon's largest rotary tilt attachment, the EC233, with tool attachment Q-Safe 70. It will be a strong gripper with a gripping force of 2.2 tons and a gripping width of almost a meter.
As with the smaller models, the operator connects or disconnects the grapple cassette in about a minute by activating the lock with a single handle that connects or disconnects the hydraulics at the same time the grapple cassette is locked/unlocked. The ultimate solution for operators who want to quickly disconnect the grapple cassette when it is momentarily not needed.
Serial delivery of EC233 with gripper cartridge GRD70 will be available in January 2019 in Nordic markets and in other markets from July 2019.
