In the parcel market, there is a great need for sorting solutions that take manual work out of your hands. This is exactly where EAE Solutions responds with the E-Cross sorter. EAE Solutions is present at the Parcel + Post Expo in Amsterdam. The company with roots in both the Netherlands and Germany sees that the adoption of the E-Cross sorter is accelerating. That's why it wants to showcase its capabilities at the fair. EAE Solutions has already delivered the E-Cross Sorter to PostNL, AnPost and InPost. A major customer in Central Europe will follow soon. Larger postal and parcel companies are the users. Joosen: "The sorting capacity is high and the footprint of the machine is small. Those are two important aspects, but the flexibility and delivery time from us are also essential. It is something with which we distinguish ourselves. Actually, that is also what we are saying with our slogan, premium sorting is now available to everyone."

'This makes operations more flexible and faster'

Part of the reason EAE Solutions can serve customers just a little faster and more flexibly, Joosen says, is because it has mechanics strategically manufactured. "Also, we have effectively set up our supply chain and don't suffer from a huge overhead like some of our competitors who also offer crossbelt sorters. That equipment really has a different price tag than our all-electric crossbelt sorter."

Electric crossbelt: higher capacity and better ergonomics

Thanks to the higher capacity of the electric crossbelt sorter, fewer people are needed in distribution centers, Joosen says. "And for the people you do have at your disposal, you want to be good. Ergonomics as a subject is therefore increasingly important. Operators need to be able to easily add and remove packages from equipment. Machines are also more affordable than people, have higher sorting accuracy and therefore make fewer mistakes. Our E-Cross sorter is a quick payback for virtually any sorting operation processing four thousand or more parcels per hour

Innovation: analyzing with 3D vision equipped with AI

A big plus of EAE Solutions, according to Joosen, is also that the company has 60 years of experience in the printing industry and additionally develops its own vision technology. "That leads to innovations such as the IAS EVO, an item analysis system with which we analyze packages from arrival until they roll off the belt. A 3D camera captures everything. That camera is now additionally equipped with AI, which makes image analysis even faster and more accurate. It also functions better under non-optimal conditions as a result."
