ASSA ABLOY gates for every logistics challenge at Lensen Transport

With their striking house style, you have probably already seen them: the 18 trucks of Lensen Transport. This inspiring family business has been active in transport and groupage services to Belgium and abroad for a decade now. And with the new building in Roeselare of no less than 10,000 square meters - including innovative gates and smart accessories from ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems - the many customers are now served even more efficiently.

We go anywhere, with the greatest care

A slogan that speaks volumes ... Lensen is therefore a reliable partner for fast and efficient road transport from Roeselare. New era of possibilities

The new building in Roeselare covers 10,000 m², of which the building for logistics storage and transshipment occupies 6,000 m². A total of 7 loading docks and 22 gates have been provided, including some specific gates to make it easier to drive long goods in and out.

Leading up to the new building, Lensen Transport specifically chose ASSA ABLOY. "Previous positive experiences with other gates from their range convinced us," stresses Jasper Lensen. "It was our contractor who recommended working with the new Dual Drive dock doors, which are not only quieter but also require less maintenance than standard doors. Moreover, these gates are equipped with connectivity that allows us to operate them from one central point, and that will give us a nice advantage in the long run. As a proud transport company, we also have our own car wash. Driving around with cleanly washed equipment is important to us. And here too ASSA ABLOY offered a solution with anti-corrosion gates."

Gates for every logistics challenge

Specifically, ASSA ABLOY installed 6 Crawford OH1142P Dual Drive dock doors, new connected doors with no springs and no steel cables that can be perfectly used with the ASSA ABLOY Insight digital platform for even more insight into loading and unloading operations.

One ASSA ABLOY DL6220T Teledock made of high-grade S355 steel was provided. This telescopic dock develler has a loading ramp with extendable lip that ensures a secure connection between loading dock and truck. In addition came 6 heavy-duty telescopic dock devellers with a load capacity of as much as 100 kN, the ASSA ABLOY DL6121T Teledock 100. Like the Dual Drive gates, these Teledocks are IoT-capable and allow better and sustainable decisions to be made through ASSA ABLOY Insight using data and analytics.

The Crawford OH1042P insulated sectional doors were installed 16 times, including 2 with increased opening speed. All these doors are equipped with double-layer acrylic glass 2×3 mm, scratch-resistant-double sealed for light ingress and see-through. The mechanical ASSA ABLOY DS6060A Flapenshelter in aluminum was provided in 7 locations. They provide efficient weather protection and offer high tear resistance. The front plate in steel for additional wear resistance at all impact buffers at the dock levellers completes the picture.
