Yanmar delivers on this promise, according to Vlentec CEO Brendan Boelema: "With more than 300 engines installed, we have had only one or two breakdowns. Moreover, those were due to misuse, not the air-cooled engine itself."

In addition to being reliable, the motor of a vacuum lifter must be powerful but compact. Every component in the lifting equipment must be as small and light as possible to maximize lifting capacity and add as little weight of its own as possible. The L48N diesel engine - and the recent Stage V version L48V - meets those requirements. "Yanmar is the only manufacturer with this type of engine. Exactly what we need for our vacuum pump," Boelema said.
