A distribution center that wants to store products efficiently. Or a warehouse layout that reduces lead times and thus keeps costs manageable. Nedcon's engineers like to sink their teeth into such issues. That's how they find solutions for every project. "At Nedcon, we love getting things done. That's in our blood," says Luc Mertens, director at Nedcon NV. "If we're good at anything, it's planning and realization. Even if the task seems difficult beforehand. We are always looking for a solution, for new ideas or a different approach that makes it possible. For us, agreements are agreements, and because we control the entire process - from design to assembly - we are able to keep those agreements. The greatest strength behind the organization is the level of knowledge, advice and support we offer the customer."

Advanced techniques

Nedcon has a modern production facility in Pardubice in the Czech Republic. "There, most of the components for our racks are produced on a project basis and in large series," says Luc Mertens. "By using advanced techniques, the company is able to produce in series as well as customer-oriented. This results in high quality, smooth assembly and tight delivery times. In addition to the aforementioned production facilities, Nedcon has branches and representations in several European countries."

Safety

One of Nedcon's hobbyhorses is safety. Because first and foremost, a warehouse must be a safe working environment. Luc Mertens: "In the design, efficiency or desired savings will never be at the expense of safety. We look at the intended load capacity, the type of products and the use, then we design the racking accordingly." The engineers calculate that design thoroughly, using validated data from Nedcon's Test Department and according to the applicable standards.

Own assembly

To fully guarantee that safety, Nedcon also assembles itself. "We use a fixed structured assembly methodology," Luc Mertens points out. "Because we are economical with our own people and also want to build a safe system for customers, the team follows strict procedures under the supervision of our project managers. When we're done, we show the customer around for delivery. And we don't leave until he is satisfied."

The customer can also count on good after-sales service. Nedcon guarantees a correct re-delivery of the components and at the same time offers the possibility of an annual inspection.
