Nynas streamlines complex communications with transportation management solutions from Descartes

Descartes Systems Group (Nasdaq:TSX:DSG), a global leader in bringing together logistics-intensive trading companies, announced that Nynas AB, a leading global manufacturer and supplier of specialty oil products -and services, is using Descartes' cloud-based transportation management system (TMS). The company uses the system to automate communication in the customer order cycle. The solution is used to communicate with carriers, customs agents, independent inspectors and the main storage center to support the shipments they deliver across Europe.

Cloud-based TMS is part of Descartes' transportation management suite. It helps companies of all sizes automate their transportation processes and reduce their transportation-related costs. The system provides companies with a single platform on which to enter customer order data, manage orders during shipment (e.g., changes in pickup dates, product types, product quantities) and also automate communication with external participants - from the time customers place their orders through to invoicing shipments.
