Installation of turbines successfully completed for East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm, good for 714 MW

'Sea Installer', DEME Offshore's installation vessel, successfully completed the installation of 102 Siemens Gamesa turbines, each good for 7 MW, on the East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm 43 km off the Suffolk coast.

On East Anglia ONE, DEME Offshore worked directly for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy. The installation of the turbines started in June 2019. During the winter period, both 'Sea Installer' and 'Sea Challenger' were deployed on the project to optimize the installation process, following severe weather conditions in the fall and winter.

East Anglia ONE is the wind farm for which DEME Offshore reached a remarkable milestone in January 2020 when turbine number 2,200 was installed. With the installation of more than 2,200 turbines, DEME Offshore continues to build an unmatched track record for wind turbine installations.

'Sea Installer' now sets sail for the Borssele 1 & 2 wind farm in the Netherlands. There, together with the offshore installation vessel 'Sea Challenger', it will install 94 Siemens Gamesa turbines, each good for 8 MW.
