The long-haul version of the Volvo FH Aero has captured the hearts of many European haulers. Thanks to improved aerodynamics and new technologies, such as Volvo's digital camera mirrors, the Volvo FH Aero can drive up to 7% more economically than the regular Volvo FH. A total of nearly 33,000 FH Aero trucks were ordered in Europe by 2025.

“We are proud to be the market leader in Europe for the second year in a row. Our goal is to be the best business partner for our customers. Becoming market leader is a powerful testament to the trust our customers place in us. I would therefore like to thank our customers and employees very much for this great result,” said Roger Alm, president of Volvo Trucks.

“We have a strong product range with trucks that excel in uptime, fuel efficiency and safety. Within that, the Volvo FH Aero excels on long hauls. I hear from customers that they are impressed with the performance and fuel savings it achieves.”

Worldwide, Volvo Trucks will be the market leader or second largest brand in 30 countries by 2025.

Toward fossil-free transportation

Volvo Trucks is accelerating the transition to fossil-free transportation in order to be climate-neutral by 2040. This is done through a technology strategy based on three pillars: battery-electric, hydrogen-electric and internal combustion engines running on renewable fuels such as green hydrogen, biogas, biodiesel or HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil).

“We continue to innovate and introduce new trucks that not only contribute to our customers” business, but also to the sustainability of our industry. By leveraging multiple technologies, we can provide transportation solutions that fit different customer needs and markets," said Roger Alm.
