Mecalux Software Solutionshas incorporated generative artificial intelligence into its Warehouse Management Software Easy WMS. This allows the software to answer information requests naturally. Already used in more than 1,100 warehouses in 36 countries, Easy WMS now offers a chat feature that allows users to interact with the system. This chat feature allows an almost human interaction with the software, analyzing complex questions and answering them in seven languages.
This innovation was developed by Mecalux's team of specialized software engineers. The aim is to simplify decision-making and operation, thereby streamlining warehouse processes. Users can ask questions about any aspect of the warehouse and Easy WMS can give them precise answers in different formats, such as figures, lists, tables or graphs.
Mecalux's generative AI can create a downloadable report with inventory management data, provide a visual summary of the real-time status of outgoing orders or capacity utilization or a report on the current inventory of a specific product. Users can also perform specific tasks by interacting with the AI. For example, they can ask the AI to release all urgent orders or a particular aisle. The user simply needs to confirm this via conversation.
The integration of generative AI into Easy WMS is a clear step forward to optimize logistics operations. The system is constantly being improved and fine-tuned based on user feedback. This allows Mecalux to refine its operation and better respond to the changing needs of its customers. Mecalux is also already using AI to improve the quality of its software and help developers write and evaluate their software.
