The construction industry faces many challenges. The current shortage on the labor market, high raw material prices and the increasing demand for sustainable and circular construction are creating additional headaches for construction companies and their clients. Anticipation, fast switching and innovative thinking are therefore crucial. On each of these points, Willy Naessens Industriebouw has built up a cast-iron reputation. Welcome to the leading construction company that builds more than 500,000 m2 of projects in the Benelux, France, Denmark and Sweden.
The name Willy Naessens rings a bell with a lot of people. That familiarity got an extra boost when the Willy Naessens Group was awarded "Company of the Year" at the end of last year.® 2023. A fantastic recognition for an entrepreneurial journey of over sixty years of innovation and growth. With more than 50 companies, a turnover of 1 billion euros and 2,500 employees, this growth story is far from over.
The family-owned company has also built a solid reputation in the build branch. This success rests on two pillars: on the one hand, the use of precast concrete, with unique expertise on board the company. On the other, the focus on vertical integration, with building elements manufactured in its own factories. The result? The guarantee that an industrial construction project is followed up in-house from A to Z, independent of external influences and respecting budgetary and planning agreements.
Customers who partner with Willy Naessens Industriebouw can count on a no-nonsense and customer-oriented approach. Welcome to a market leader with the DNA of a family business! This translates concretely into personal contacts, short lines of communication and customized guidance. With every project - whether it's shell or turnkey - there is only one point of contact. This person arranges everything with the various internal knowledge cells. Customers greatly appreciate this resolute approach. It explains why so many satisfied customers return for new construction projects. The best proof that quality and reliability always pay off.
The 'vertical integration' pillar within Willy Naessens Industriebouw was the main starting point for the development of the new pioneering concept The Circle. With this concept, launched in April, the company promises the fastest way to a circular industrial building. During a design session with the industrial builder, a final design can be on the table within two hours using a specially developed 3D Web tool. A demountable, industrial building in which all specifications, dimensions and costs per component are known. This gives you an initial cost indication immediately. The Circle is composed of 100 demountable and circular building blocks, of which 70% are reusable without modification and 25% are recyclable. Willy Naessens Industriebouw makes an LCA (life cycle analysis) of each building block. This degree of circularity should help developers achieve BREEAM scores within construction projects. It also provides favorable financing conditions for investors and contributes to the European Sustainability Goals. By the way, did you know that by 2021 the company will be the first construction group to achieve a CO2-neutral certificate received?
In the logistics sector, every minute is precious. For the design and construction of a distribution center or logistics building, the gas pedal must be pushed hard, always with an eye for quality and strong service, of course. Because Willy Naessens Industriebouw manufactures building elements in-house, every logistics building project can be completed at lightning speed. In this context, the use of precast concrete offers many advantages. In addition to the high speed of construction - and thus faster turnaround time of a project - precast concrete is durable, rock solid, burglar-resistant and fireproof. The technique of high-rise buildings is also becoming increasingly popular. Because available building land is becoming increasingly scarce, creative forms of construction - including high-rise - are gaining in importance. In the logistics or distribution sector, high-stack warehouses up to 30 meters high are no longer an exception. And what about the rise of cross-dock centers? More and more logistics companies are opting for a cross-dock center in order to smoothly handle the substantial influx of parcel deliveries. The logistics building acts as a "conduit" to move goods from one vehicle to another. Often these centers are located around cities to travel the 'last mile' from there. And Willy Naessens Industriebouw is happy to sink its teeth into them!
