For their logistics site in Lommel, Belgium, VT Logistics called on Derdaele+ to construct a 20,000 m² building with offices and warehouse space. "We took charge of the entire process, from earthworks to assembly and general coordination," says CEO Thomas Monnens. "The project had to be delivered in a short time, which was only feasible thanks to a well thought-out planning, the commitment of our team and the added value of our own machinery. That combination gave us extra grip on the process. Because we do a lot in-house, we were able to switch quickly and monitor quality at every stage of the process. That made for a particularly efficient execution."

Outspoken character

The facade of VT Logistics was finished with panels in five different colors that represent the natural elements. "The entire steel structure was painted in orange, this gives the building a distinct character that matches the identity of VT Logistics," Monnens continued. "Currently, by the way, our collaboration is continuing. There will be an additional 5,000 m² hall and a 725 m² canopy. Both extensions visually and technically fit seamlessly into the existing whole."
