Anyone looking for an experienced construction partner who is strong in Belgium and the Netherlands has come to the right place at Molenschot Industriebouw. From offices in Balen and Best, father and son Joost and Mathijs Molenschot run a construction company that makes the dreams of many an entrepreneur come true every day. From industrial halls to warehouses, in steel or concrete: Molenschot Industriebouw is at home in many markets.
Whoever knocks on Molenschot Industriebouw's door with a construction sketch under his arm, comes to an experienced market player. Joost Molenschot has been active in the construction industry since 1985. In 1996, he founded Molenschot Industriebouw. "I have lived in Belgium for many years, but cannot hide my Dutch roots. As a result, I literally speak the language of both the Flemish and Dutch entrepreneur looking for a professional construction partner. Since the start of our company, we have been strong on both sides of the border, with approximately 40% turnover in Belgium and 60% with our northern neighbors."
For almost a quarter of a century, Molenschot Industriebouw has been a trusted construction partner of industrial companies and logistics players. "With our own designers, engineers, project managers and mechanics, we tackle every construction project integrally," confirms Mathijs Molenschot, responsible for sales and project development. "We realize as much as possible with our own people and permanent subcontractors. From the design and drawing work, through engineering to the construction work. And from carcass wind and watertight to turnkey. Our customers really appreciate this integrated approach. After all, they have the guarantee that their building dream will be followed through to the last detail. We take care of their construction concerns. They can focus fully on their core business."
The fact that every construction project at Molenschot Industriebouw is followed up very accurately is partly due to the flat internal organizational structure. "We are an open and transparent organization and tackle each project in a structured and well-organized way," Joost confirms. At the same time, we guarantee our customers short lines of communication, where they can always turn to a fixed contact person. This allows us to adjust construction plans quickly if necessary."
"We succeed time and again in delivering a final result that fully meets the wishes and needs of
a customer, within the agreed price and schedule."
Clients sometimes set the bar very high, but that is right up the Molenschot construction team's alley. "Production hall, company or logistics building, storage and transshipment, cold store or freezer house, store or showroom. For every construction challenge we gladly take up the gauntlet," Mathijs said. "We are also versatile when it comes to choice of materials, with versions in steel construction and concrete frame construction or wood-laminated structures. Every project is different and must meet certain standards and requirements. This determines the choice of materials, with attention to the appearance of the building, of course. The architectural aspect is becoming increasingly important."
And whether they experience differences between Belgium and the Netherlands? "The regulations in the field of energy-neutral building are already a little further along in the Netherlands," Joost explains. "By 2030, all commercial buildings there must be energy-neutral in order to enjoy bank financing when buying or selling. Dutch buildings also already have to deal with an energy label, they have to be BREEAM built and they have to meet the latest standards according to the BENG calculations for near-zero energy buildings."
"Even in the logistics sector, new construction projects in recent years meet all these high requirements: BREEAM, energy neutrality, burglary protection with BORG class 4 and GDP certification. In the food sector, standards related to HACCP certification also apply." ■
