Own steel production depresses price
The multidisciplinary construction company Stadsbader is betting very strongly on vertical integration. The recently established division "Construction East and Steel Construction" is in full development. The further integration and pooling of knowledge and strengths will provide greater clout within the construction industry.
The newly created "Construction East and Steel Construction" division is formed by the core team of the former ASK
Romein Malle. This company specialized in steel structures and logistics industrial construction. "The integration of this division increases our know-how and engineering in the field of steel production. Within the construction sector, we distinguish ourselves because we have in-house hybrid structures of steel trusses and precast concrete structures. We can offer these economically to our customers," said Ivan Vinck, general manager of Bouw Oost.
"Not only do we have specialized in-house knowledge of both steel and concrete, but we also have our own production facilities for both precast concrete and steel structures. As a result, we at Stadsbader always manage to come up with the most optimal and economical concept for our customers."
Today, Stadsbader has its own production sites throughout Belgium. "With Bouw Oost, as the name suggests, we want to serve the east of the country and expand our operating area geographically into the Netherlands."
Sustainability is never far away in this regard. "Stadsbader is one of the few companies in our country to achieve level 5 on the CO2 performance ladder. We also want to do our part to achieve this, including by making a strong commitment to water transport with our own barges." ■
