Movu brings simpler automation to every warehouse. As a result, end customers and integrators worldwide can benefit from a seamless and user-friendly plug-and-play ecosystem for warehouse automation.
stow Group, a globally recognized leader in the design, manufacture and implementation of advanced storage solutions and automated warehouse systems, has launched the new brand 'Movu'. It is designed to strengthen the 'Robotics' business unit and meet the rapidly growing demand for automation and robotics solutions. The new brand replaces the name 'stow Robotics' and coincides with stow Racking within the stow Group.
"Movu's philosophy is: 'no warehouse left behind'. We achieve this by offering automation with simpler, modular, scalable, flexible and efficient solutions and helping customers upgrade their warehouses," said Jos De Vuyst, CEO of stow Group. "stow offers opportunities for automation and robotics in companies that would otherwise find it difficult to implement."
"The great simplicity of our solutions reduces risk for customers and accelerates deployment to help them address challenges such as labor shortages, cost increases, storage density, growing volumes and improving accuracy."
The brand's portfolio includes the "Movu atlas," a self-propelled pallet carrier that can drive in all directions in a rack, enabling very compact pallet warehouses - from a smaller project with a few thousand pallet spaces to large projects with as many as 80,000 pallet spaces.
The 3D storage and fulfillment system "Movu escala" uses shuttles to move bins in a rack, using ramps to move the shuttles from one level to another.
Storage density, productivity and accuracy are maximized for delivering goods to order picker picking stations. As with atlas, capacity can be expanded with additional storage modules and performance can be enhanced with additional shuttles.
The 'Movu eligo' piecepicking robot, introduced Sept. 19, can be seamlessly integrated as a picking station at escala. Movu eligo can perform 600 picks per hour, moving SKUs (stock keeping units) from a single-SKU source container to a mixed SKU destination container.
For transporting pallets and totes to shuttle systems, there are the "Movu ifollow" autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), which can operate in cold stores and work in conjunction with order pickers. Together with the appropriate supporting software, these solutions can be offered either as stand-alone products or integrated into an autonomous subsystem as a total solution, to improve customer performance, resilience and service levels.
Live demonstrations can be viewed at the brand-new, state-of-the-art Experience Centre - one of the largest in Europe - at Movu's new headquarters in Lokeren.
There, it also offers in-depth insight into the Movu Warehouse Execution System, which consists of Movu ops to manage all operations: the "Movu tower" for monitoring and availability of the most appropriate shuttle or AMR, and the "Movu pilot" that ensures order execution on each individual shuttle or AMR. The new headquarters thus combines production, R&D, sales and the Experience Centre to drive Movute's continuous innovation and growth. ■
