Manhattan Associates announces commercial availability of its AI Agent Workforce

 Manhattan Associates, the global leader in supply chain commerce with advanced AI functionality, announces the commercial availability of its AI Agents. This new generation of intelligent, enterprise-ready agents is directly integrated into all Manhattan Active®-solutions. Unlike overlay solutions that operate on top of obsolete data lakes, these agents are embedded in the Manhattan Active® Platform. This allows them to perform actions in real time with full operational context, transforming execution, optimization and user experience within supply chain commerce.

AI Agents for Modern Retail and Supply Chain Operations

Designed specifically for modern retail and supply chain operations, Manhattan's AI Agents deliver faster decision-making, higher productivity and continuous improvement from day one. The Interactive Agents act as digital assistants for key user roles within Manhattan Active solutions. They help employees work faster and more accurately by simplifying tasks, guiding decisions and increasing daily productivity. The Autonomous Agents work intelligently in the background: they continuously monitor operations, automate repetitive work, identify operational bottlenecks and resolve them automatically. In doing so, they significantly reduce manual effort while improving service levels.

For example, within Manhattan Associates' omnichannel solutions, the Store Associate Agent delivers real-time reviews and sales performance insights. Similarly, the Contact Center Agent provides contextually relevant customer insights that increase employee speed and effectiveness. In the supply chain, the Labor Agent supports the deployment of personnel across departments based on remaining work to be completed. In addition, the Shipment Tracking Agent identifies potential problems and makes recommendations for compensating actions.

Manhattan Agent Foundry: building and customizing agents

As part of Manhattan Active Agents, customers also gain access to Manhattan Agent Foundry™. This is a pioneering platform that allows customers to easily build new agents using simple natural language or quickly customize an existing Manhattan agent through its extensive APIs and platform capabilities, tailored to their unique needs. Customers can also develop these specialized agents with Manhattan or third-party partners. All agents developed in Manhattan Agent Foundry are built are compatible with A2A and MCP agentic communication standards, allowing seamless interoperability both among themselves and with enterprise agents that customers develop themselves.

Eaton as an early access customer

Eaton, an intelligent power management company, is an early access customer using several Active Agents within Warehouse Management. With basic versions of the Wave Coordinator and Labor Agents, Eaton can more flexibly deploy its employees to the right areas to complete fulfillment activities. In addition, Eaton and Manhattan collaborated to develop a Dock Agent with Active Foundry that monitors workflows and accelerates selected tasks.
