The construction industry is increasingly opting for nitrogen-free, and Loxam is responding by expanding its fleet with Loxgreen machines, including several Giant G2200Es.

With electric machine you are more economical

Tobroco-Giant takes first step toward full-liner with acquisition of ULBO

Buying an electric machine from Tobroco-Giant is not only good for the climate, but also good for your wallet. Think long warranty and 0% interest rates. Following this, the compact equipment manufacturer has now also taken the first step toward full-liner with the acquisition of ULBO Machinery from Zwolle, a manufacturer of compact compaction machines. Both companies believe they can strengthen each other in new developments, such as the further electrification of machines.

"Because we are convinced of the quality of our electric machines and this is also the way to become more sustainable, we are currently giving a 5-year warranty and 0% interest if one finances the machine through GIANT Finance," says Evert van den Broek of the Oisterwijk-based manufacturer. And that's not the only advantage. For example, the buyer of an electric Giant shovel receives a folding roof for free and there are tax benefits to be gained (subsidy). This benefit promotion is only valid in the Netherlands, says Evert, who adds, "So now is the perfect time to invest in a Giant articulated loader that is good for the climate and also provides better workplaces for employees and less nuisance for the environment."

The GP1950E electric vibratory plate is the first to be built under the Giant brand name at the ULBO Machinery plant acquired by Tobroco.

THOROUGHLY TESTED

The wheel loaders with electric propulsion combine the best of both worlds, Evert observes, because the emission-free machines offer the advantages of an articulated loader and they can work in silence and without emissions. As such, he calls them "ideal for performing work inside buildings, among animals or on construction sites in urban areas." Tobroco-Giant believes in an electric future and leaves nothing to chance before the electric Giant models go into production. Evert: "All machines are extensively tested by different customers. If a machine has a weak spot, this comes to light and the machine is
adjusted accordingly first."

STRATEGIC ACQUISITION

Machine builder Tobroco-Giant has gone down the acquisition path for the first time. With ULBO Machinery, vibrating plates and rammers, among other things, are added to the compact equipment program. It also means a personnel expansion, as all 20 ULBO employees are joining the company. Whereas Tobroco-Giant serves the agricultural sector and road construction companies with compact shovels, loaders, telehandlers, mowers, lifting forks and articulated loaders, the Zwolle-based SAMAC compaction machines are now being added, which will henceforth be sold under the Giant brand name. "Whether they are rental companies, landscapers, pavers or customers from the earth moving industry, they have all been familiar with both brands for a long time. So from now on they can turn to Tobroco-Giant for all their purchases and associated service," we hear from owner/director Toine Brock. Tobroco-Giant delivers to more than sixty countries worldwide.
