Construction is struggling with complex projects with excessive risks. Runaway builders at Zuidasdok, a cost overrun of 200 million euros in the construction of sea lock IJmuiden and the failure of the tender for junction Hoevelaken. These are some examples of the problems in the infra sector. Especially in complex, high-risk projects, time and cost overruns are the rule rather than the exception, and builders foot the bill for the extra costs. Where are things currently going wrong? And how can we manage the risks in infra projects sufficiently so that they are profitable again?
On Wednesday, Oct. 2, Pakhuis de Zwijger will engage with builders, science, central government and other stakeholders about managing risk in construction.
Among others, Maxime Verhagen, Hennes de Ridder and Rob van Wingerden will attend.
Would you like to attend? You can! Admission is free, you only need to register with the program of Pakhuis de Zwijger via this link: https://dezwijger.nl/programma/bouwers-at-risk
