Last fall, EasyFairs organized the joint Transport & Logistics and Logistic & Industrial Build trade show in Antwerp for the first time. With success, as 11,000 professionals met 300 exhibitors from the transport and logistics sector during the three-day event. In addition, 75 speakers guaranteed 25 fascinating seminars. This month, the successful formula will be repeated in Ghent, with a third trade fair as icing on the cake: Empack.
Three trade fairs under one roof. For two days - September 17 and 18 - transport and logistics professionals meet to network, exchange inspiring ideas and do business at Flanders Expo in Ghent. All parties from the entire supply chain will be present: from packaging to transport and logistics real estate. Together with various partners, organizer EasyFairs welcomes more than 50 fascinating keynote speakers and experts.
According to Nadine Francus, Group Event Director at EasyFairs, a trade show like Transport & Logistics - in combination with Logistic & Industrial Build and Empack - is a must. "We notice that transport and logistics professionals, as well as players from the logistics real estate and construction sectors, need their own platform to meet and exchange expertise. Thanks to the combination of three trade fairs, they will find a wealth of useful information and valuable contacts in one place. With Logistic & Industrial Build, we want to become the leading event for professionals who give smart, sustainable and energy-neutral building top priority. At Transport & Logistics there will be plenty of room for all the applications that make your warehouse operational, such as racking, forklifts, vehicles and robots. And Empack focuses on innovative packaging solutions for industry, with a special focus this year on the food and beverage industry and e-commerce."
The program of Transport & Logistics and Logistic & Industrial Build is more than well filled. "As usual every year, our partner KMOinsider opens the fair with Business@Breakfast, a first networking moment," confirms Nadine. "After this breakfast session, it's the turn of numerous well-known experts to discuss current topics and challenges. The program includes sessions on the strengths of e-trucks, sustainability in industrial construction, the application of CO2-poor transportation and the use of artificial intelligence in the logistics sector. Themes such as urban distribution, smart automation for storage, packaging and transport and points of interest in logistics real estate will also be discussed. In cooperation with Montea, we are also organizing "Logistics check for the future. We are very proud of the presence of Jan-Peter Balkenende, former Prime Minister of the Netherlands. As sustainability manager at EY, he will give a presentation on the link between sustainability and logistics."
As usual, Transport & Logistics is also the place to be for the presentation of the Trends Transport & Logistics Gazelles.
Nadine: "Our partner Transportmedia awards transport or logistics companies that have grown strongly over the last five years. The awards are given in three categories: small, medium and large companies." The Job Day is also a regular part of the fair.
We can count on TL Hub, Belgium's leading recruitment platform for transport and logistics, to organize it. With Legend Biotech, Mervielde, ICTS, Gentis, Itzu Jobs and Colruyt Group, we have already managed to snare some resounding employers."
Also at Empack, participants have a choice of inspiring info sessions. Nadine explains, "We invited experts to zoom in on the impact of sustainable food packaging on microbiological food safety and shelf life, the sustainable packaging barometer in Flanders, a comparison between reusable and disposable packaging and European regulations in the sector."
"A Job Day will also take place at this trade show. In addition, there will be the Pack Studio where the latest innovations in the packaging sector will be displayed, an e-commerce zone and a Service Pack pavilion where outsourcing partners will present themselves.
In short, there is a lot of exciting stuff to discover!"
